Individual Therapy

"The wound is the place where the Light enters you" – Rumi

Individual Counselling

Do you want to be confident, at ease, and live a life of purpose and connection?

Do you want to learn sustainable ways of dealing with stress, difficult emotions, and relationship issues?

However, is one or more of the following standing in your way of living life to the fullest?

Anxiety

  • ruminating thoughts, perfectionism, muscle tension, difficulty meeting new people, social isolation, panic attacks, insomnia, lack of appetite, skin picking, etc.

Depression

  • hopelessness, low energy, poor self-esteem, loneliness, guilt, suicidal thoughts, etc.

Effects of trauma

  • inability to relax, difficulty with relationships, emotional outbursts, social isolation, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, nightmares, etc.

Relationship issues

  • loneliness, poor choice of partners or friends, conflict, lack of intimacy, unhealthy patterns, codependency, poor boundaries, parenting issues, etc.

Life transitions

  • separation or divorce, loss and grief, major move, health diagnosis, career change, age-related changes, adaptation to a new culture, spiritual crisis, etc.

It is natural to feel overwhelmed when dealing with these issues. During such times, we all need a compassionate and non-judgmental listener to help us rekindle hope, gently examine our struggles, deepen our self-understanding, develop a new identity, and identify ways of moving forward. I offer such listening and support.

Perhaps you have simply outgrown your present conditions and seek a transformation in one or several areas of your life. You don't need to be in crisis or experience a specific mental health concern to benefit from counselling.

Benefits of therapy: authenticity, clarity, growth

As you delve deeper into yourself in therapy, you will connect with your authentic self and develop a more clear self-understanding and appreciation for your innate potential. Enriched by this new insight, you will experience profound gratitude for what you already have or feel empowered to take the leap of faith toward the renewal you've been contemplating.

My Approach

I embrace a gentle and non-pathologizing approach to mental health, where all parts of your experience are embraced, and healing arises from learning and practicing genuine self-acceptance and self-compassion.

You will benefit from attachment-based, relational, trauma-informed, depth-oriented, and feminist therapeutic modalities, as well as sandtray and parts work. We will integrate these approaches to create a holistic therapeutic experience tailored to your unique situation and needs. With younger children, I primarily use sandtray-based interventions to help them process their thoughts and feelings.

Grounded in the values of kindness and compassion, together, we will gently examine the causes of your distress, tap into your innate wisdom for guidance, and empower you to take action toward desired change.
